Matt Goerke & Tim Tremblay ready to rock!

Another motocross nationals season is upon us and we at Team Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha are raring to go. There are some new faces and some old ones on the team, some more obvious than others. Like Tim Tremblay joining the lineup as 2015 MX1 National Champion Matt Goerke’s teammate. The team’s main objective remains the same, however … to be a relevant player in the ultra competitive MX1 Nationals every Sunday and bring the coveted No.1 plate back to the Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha trailer at the end of the season.

Although Goerke wasn’t able to repeat as champ last year, he did manage to come out of the nationals melee as runner-up. There is nothing Goerke would like to do more than to claim another MX1 title. The American has been busy getting ready for the 2017 season, testing, training and looking forward to the drop of the gate on Sunday and put the new YZ450Fs through the paces.

Everyone knows Tim Tremblay is a snowmobile champion but only insiders know races motocross as well. Up until this year, however, the Drummondville, QC native only raced one entire nationals campaign; and this as a privateer. Although he takes motocross seriously, Tremblay basically races it to stay active and in shape during the snowcross off-season. But as a national and international snowcross champion, he instinctively likes ending up on the podium. This desire translates to where Tremblay likes to finish on a dirt bike as well. Racing is racing!

Like Goerke, Tremblay has been training and testing hard for the past few months and has adjusted well to his first factory ride. We are convinced Tremblay will be a great addition to our program and we wish him and Matt a safe and successful season.

Like every pre-season the months, weeks, and the days leading up to the opening round of the Rockstar Energy Drink CMRC Motocross Nationals have been hectic. Actually, for us the season never ends, just the venues change. So it’s pretty well business as usual all year round, keeping everything together and running as smoothly as possible regardless of weather conditions.

We at Rockstar Energy Drink OTSFF Yamaha would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody behind the scenes for the countless hours of hard work they put in, getting everything ready for another 10 rounds of rock ’em sock ’em motocross action. A special thanks to Keith (team logistics), Brad (marketing manager), Scott (Matt Goerke’s mechanic), Andre (team owner), Chris (Tim Tremblay’s mechanic), Steve (team manager), Todd (truck driver), Mack (team assistant) and Jimmy (hospitality rig manager). You guys are awesome!
