Hayden claims a record fifth national title

In a shortened season due to unusually warm weather, Iain Hayden was officially crowned CSRA National Pro Open Champion on the first day of spring.

"It was great winning the title with a 40 point lead over the other competitors' and considering the mild winter we had I think it was inevitable we weren't going to get to do the final round," Hayden said. I'm thrilled to have won my fifth National Championship. It was a great season for me and the team. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rockstar Energy Polaris Racing and everyone involved for their support to help make it another successful year."

Hayden's teammate and former national champ Lee Butler wrapped up the series in third place, 45 points behind second place Although placing consistently in the top-six and winning a number of qualifying heats.

"At the start of the season it was my goal to reclaim the championship but it wasn't meant to be. My hat goes off to my teammate Iain for establishing a new record. Thanks to everyone who supported me, from Andre to our sponsors and technicians, for making it possible for me to finish top-three," Butler said.
